A returning client, a new interior
WDL had worked with Textured Paints on its earlier Budapest store. Years later, the new boutique at 28 Andrássy út provided an opportunity to develop that relationship again, with the Concrete finish selected for a more contemporary luxury-retail environment. The repeat specification reflects the confidence placed in the finish as part of WDL’s interior language.
Concrete across the architecture
The Concrete finish is not confined to a single feature wall. It carries across substantial architectural surfaces and continues through the interior around doors, walls, ceilings and the forms connecting the two floors. The staircase becomes an important visual link between levels, with the textured surface helping the separate spaces read as one considered interior.
Texture, light and luxury retail
The restrained Concrete surface works alongside dark cabinetry, timber, glass, stone and carefully controlled lighting. As the light changes across the textured walls, subtle tonal movement gives the surfaces depth without distracting from the watches and carefully composed displays.
A material language for the boutique
The completed two-floor interior demonstrates how architectural textured paint can contribute to the identity of a luxury retail space. The finish brings continuity, warmth and tactility to the architecture, allowing the material itself to become part of the experience of the boutique.
Longines Boutique x WDL, Budapest
Located on Andrássy út, the new WDL boutique presents Longines alongside other luxury watch and lifestyle collections. For Textured Paints, the project is particularly significant as a return engagement with an established client — a new store, a new interior and another specification of Textured Paints within the WDL portfolio.
